The Department of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at Erasmus MC is the largest center of its kind in the Netherlands. Each year, more than 24,000 patients visit our outpatient clinic, and approximately 9,000 endoscopic procedures are performed in our advanced Endoscopy Center. Our dedicated liver unit is among the most active in the country, carrying out over 100 liver transplantations annually.
We are internationally recognized for our leadership in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the liver, stomach, intestines, and pancreas, as well as tumors affecting these organs. Our specialists are highly experienced in liver transplantation and contribute to innovations that shape clinical practice worldwide.
